"At What Cost & Whose Blood?"

Have you ever sat down to watch television and came across a channel featuring the most popular idiot that represents the United States. Contrary to popular voting polls, this being is yours truly, President George Bush. One could have easily turned the tube to another station except he took up most of them with his Address to the Nation. Why? Why tell more lies and stupid jokes that have nothing to do about nothing nor put food in the mouths of hungry children, money towards education and stress free traveling for those of us who look 'suspicious'. Damn, to waste time listening to him chase his own dog tail became humorous. Since when did violence and slaughtering of indigenous human beings become a joke? Choosing to go to war over oil (oops!) weapons of mass destruction has cost mothers and fathers their sons & daughters.

Nothing surprises me when it comes to good versus evil in America. Some say "We got the best government money can buy". Everything in America is for sale. Not a thing travels free.

A hot cup of herbal tea calmed the nerves between my body and the voices in my head. One voice kept whispering, "Habakkuk… Open and read the book of Habakkuk." Then, I started talking back to the voice asking, "Why?" Although I don't claim religious denominations I do pay homage to Spirit. Like any day my spirit was speaking and I answered by flipping through the biblical pages until I reached Habakkuk:

(Habakkuk 2:6) Will not all these take up a proverb against him, and a taunting riddle against him, and say, 'Woe to him who increases what is NOT his----how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges? (Habakkuk 2:8) Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the people shall plunder you, because of men's blood and the violence of the land and the city, and of all who dwell in it.

How relevant, the verses reflect both thoughts and times in which WE are living. Has not Bush and his followers made costly decisions coupled with disturbing actions. The reactions are no riddles. The clarity lies within the nation of the people who say, "Woe, why haven't we impeached the President, this country is NOT his." And yes, "we know the plethora of pledges politicians make and take!"

Whether you're a student of life, welfare recipient, unemployed, punching-a-clock or collecting pension you are a direct recipient of the injustices here in the United States of America. When bombs drop and martial law plows through neighborhood streets in full effect, your residential zone nor how you voted in the past election won't even matter because democracy is not functioning properly in the 'House' and terrorism has shifted the nations' paradigm of thought and living.

I hope you know what matters most is the self-discovery of your own mental, physical and spiritual power to create a shift in consciousness strong enough to restore balance-of-power wherever you are.

Remember, nothing comes free!
